From the archive: Upcycled faucet handle light
Going through some boxes in the basement, I came across this light I made when I was in high school or maybe early college. I had totally forgotten about it, so it was a fun find.
It's made from some old plastic "crystal" faucet handles with Christmas lights tucked through holes in the back. My dad works in the plumbing industry, and he gave me a box of these leftover cheapie handles to make something with.
I was surprised the strand of lights still worked, but my dummy younger self mounted the handles to a piece of flimsy cardboard. It's kind of pretty, though! I may have to give it an upgrade to make the backing sturdier.
