In this installment of teaching myself how to sew, I made some simple bean bags for Elise. She has recently learned how to throw things and better to throw soft bean bags than hard plastic toys.
I had a bunch of 3.5" squares cut from when I made her patchwork puppy.
This is probably one of the easiest things to sew (and should be pretty obvious to anyone who has ever done any amount of sewing). I lined up a couple of the squares, pattern side in, and stitched around the perimeter leaving a small hole for filling.
I turned them right-side out and filled them with navy beans. Why navy beans? Because they were the cheapest. Then I stitched down the entire side with the hole for strength.
I love how they look all lined up!
